Our Story
Laurou is casually romantic Finnish kid’s clothing brand, born out of passion for durable, high-quality and ethical children`s clothing.
Laurou’s driving force is the courage to listen to intuition and follow the dreams.
Laurou’s visual world is classically beautiful and artistic. Instead of fast changing trends, Laurou charms with timelessness. The collections combine Finnish practical design with a touch of French elegance. Easy-to-care and comfortable children's clothes are suitable for everyday life as well as for celebration. Combining the products effortlessly creates a variety of lovely outfits.
Laurou is based on local production and responsibility. The clothes are designed with love and expertise in Finland. Production takes place in Latvian and Portuguese factories owned by Finnish companies. Local production allows close-knit co-operation between the designer and the manufacturer throughout the whole manufacturing process. This is how our clothes become safe, high quality and ethically produced.

Behind the brand
I am a designer and entrepreneur Pia Lauronen, BBA in clothing industry, mother of three and a wife. A spark for beautiful and quality clothing ignited in me in the late 1990`s while working as a model in Tokyo, Milan and Paris. I was inspired by those huge cultures in those years. After my daughter was born, baby clothes became my passion. I went to study clothing and after graduating in 2018 I founded Laurou Ltd.
I am grateful being able to work in the field of my dreams, children's clothing. My future goal is to get a full-time job in my own company and possibly employ others as well.

My dear youth hobby ballet is still close to my heart. The world of ballet has become an important inspiration. When I envision new Laurou clothes, in addition to ballet, I am inspired by a wide range of art, as well as nature - and of course children.

Courage has been my strength throughout life. As a child, I was a mix of a climbing tomboy and a ballerina who liked everything beautiful. I'm an optimist, down to earth, funny and empathetic. I am a perfectionist and I do not miss the slightest detail. Because of my creativity, my mind is constantly bursting with new visions. My workplace is neat, but full of sticky notes that no one else could possibly understand.
